ABOUT PROSTITUTION

In Israel today there are 14,000 women, men and minors trapped in the cycle of prostitution

The average age for entering prostitution is 13.5

on average, 3 out of 4 survivors testified that they would like to get out of prostitution, if they had support in finding a place of employment in a healthy environment far from the world of prostitution

HOPE CENTER -  Our name is our mission

Everyone Needs Hope

You are reading this because you genuinely care. And because you believe that we as responsible people can and should do better.

This is not a comfortable story. It is a sad commentary on our times.

You should be aware that modern-day slavery is real. Many workers in the sex industry are trapped - and in need of a better life.

You will be shocked to learn that in today’s Israel, no fewer than 14,000 individuals – men, women and children – are caught up in the sex industry. And that more than 3 in 4 of those people would get out of the business if they had help finding alternative employment.

This is where you come in. The survivors don’t want your pity. They do want jobs so they can live healthy lives, away from the underworld of prostitution..

Here’s Noga (not her real name). Forced to leave school  by her father who belittled her and beat her, she fell into prostitution as the only means of earning money. Her early marriage at 17 took her out of that world but with little advantage as her husband cursed and beat her and then attacked her with a knife, leading to hospitalization. The result was a return to the sex industry only to be severely assaulted by a client.

Hope Center is helping Noga and many like her to escape from the sex industry while helping them with issues of medical and physical health. The goal is employment, which offers genuine hope for the future.

You hold the key that will unlock the lives of many suffering people.

I'm still a little afraid of the future

But now I can

at least imagine it

ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN

Hope Center is launching its biggest ever fundraiser on November 11th, a crowdfunding campaign in conjunction with CauseMatch.

Each gift to this campaign goes to end exploitation.

Each gift helps create nationwide employment for survivors of prostitution through educational training.

Each gift helps fund the appointment of professional case workers who can help our people find a way to overcome their many difficulties.

Above all the funds will be going to finance our new job rehabilitation training program to bring 100 survivors of prostitution into the work force  and offer them hope.

But your generosity means so much more than that.

· ·  You will be declaring that human rights are not just abstract values

·  You will be giving suffering people a second chance.

Our name is our mission. Everyone needs Hope.

Remember – Noga is just one of many. Think of her and make your gift now. There is really no time to lose.
